Illustrative refrigeration scene

A maintenance visit should leave you with useful information about the covered equipment. ADN Planned Maintenance connects the agreed asset list and tasks with the technician’s visit record and office review. Here is how to use that record when planning the next step.

Start with the Asset ID

Check which unit the entry relates to and where it is located. A walk-in room may have associated evaporator and condensing equipment; a display lineup may connect to a wider refrigeration system. The agreed asset list establishes how those items are identified and grouped.

Read the task as well as the status

An inspection marked complete means the stated task was performed. It does not mean every component was tested or that the equipment has been certified free of faults. Read the observations and any available readings alongside the scope of that task.

Look for limitations and unfinished work

Blocked access, an unavailable room or another site restriction can prevent a task from being completed. Those items should remain visible. Discuss what needs to change and whether a follow-up visit is required rather than assuming the unit received the same checks as every other asset.

Separate a finding from an approved repair

A reported deficiency or recommendation identifies something to review. It does not automatically authorize replacement parts, cleaning or corrective repairs. The office reviews the record and discusses the proposed next step, with additional work quoted or authorized separately.

  • Confirm the equipment and location.
  • Review what was completed and what remains outstanding.
  • Ask about the recommended next step and its scope.
  • Keep your decision and follow-up linked to the same asset.

Keep the plan current

Tell the Service team when equipment is replaced, relocated or used differently. Updating the asset list and agreed tasks helps the maintenance plan remain relevant to the site. Refrigeration is the primary coverage; any related HVAC assets and tasks are listed separately.
